Hello and welcome to The Dog Shop!
We
opened The Dog Shop in August 2004, in the lovely market town of Beverley,
East Yorkshire, England. This website was developed in 2005, in order to offer
the products and services to a wider group of people.
The shop fulfils a long ambition for myself, Susan, after many years working
within social care. I now have the shop that I have always wanted, providing
a service for dogs and their owners.
So what can I tell you about The Dog Shop? It has a range of products for
dogs: bedding, toys, clothing and crystal collars. We are pleased to say that
we are the exclusive stockist in the area for Puppia products. For
owners you will find stationery, ceramics, soft toys and sculptures. We are
constantly adding to the ranges and get really excited when we find a new
product that we think our customers will like!
We have plans to develop the shop and the services it provides further, please
click on the ‘Further developments’ section
to find out more.
To find out more about the shop and most importantly the dogs that have influenced
its development please click on the appropriate image below. If you would
like to contact us, please click on the ‘Contact
Us’ button and we will respond as quickly as possible.
Of course, the best way to see what we do is to call in if you can. The Dog
Shop is open Tuesday to Saturday 9.00am to 5.30pm so please do come and visit
us. Meanwhile, enjoy the website………………
When the shop opened I had one dog, Puppy, a large cross Yorkshire Terrier
who thought she was a Rottweiler! She was 14 ½ years old when she died
just after Easter this year before that she could be found snoring in the
shop. Maggie, on the left, died in June 2003 at nearly 16 years old, so she
never saw the shop come to fruition but her picture is in the shop so that
she can keep a watch over us all. To find out more about Puppy,
Maggie (oh and not forgetting Robby,
my ‘nephew‘), please click on their names or their images above.
You will also find out how the shop came about through their stories.
